View from the roof of the Rialto Building of Southwest corner of 9th and Grand.

Kansas City, Missouri - Circa 1891 This photograph was taken from the Roof of the Rialto building on the Southwest Corner of 9th Street and Grand Avenue. (This square block area will be vacated for the 2nd U S Post Office and Customs House, (completed in 1896 and demolished in 1938)). The office building and resdience of Doctor Flavel B Tiffany is on the Southeast Corner of 8th Street and Grand Avenue. The Hotel Victoria, located at 304 East 9th Street, is in the Upper Right hand Corner of the photograph. Notice the wooden sidewalk on the East side of Grand Avenue. Streets in the Front of the photograph are: Left side Grand Avenue and the street running up is 9th Street Original image published in the book, "Historic Street Scenes of Kansas City, Missouri, 1867-1931," by Raymond S.
