Kansas City, Missouri - Circa 1891 Looking West from the roof of a building located at 404 East 9th Street. The two churches on the Left hand side of the Hotel Victoria, 304 East 9th Street, are the Saint Peter and Pauls Catholic CHurch, 9th and McGee Streets and the Grand Avenue Medthodist Church, 9th Street and Grand Avenue. The Whit House Hotel was located at 744 Oak Street. 9th Street is located on the Left side of the photograph, Oak Street located in the Front of the photograph, 8th Street to the Right side of the photograph with intersection of Oak Street in Front of the White House Hotel, further down (looks like the continuation of 8th Street) is McGee Street Original image published in the book, "Historic Street Scenes of Kansas City, Missouri, 1867-1931," by Raymond S. Elder, featuring the Val B. Minton Photographics Collection, page 33.
