Hawthorne School United Nations Day

The Hawthorne School presents a learning day focused on their United Nations Program. Students present findings to visiting parents, classmates, and teachers, and give mock tours of miniaturized versions of the countries involved. Following the formation of the United Nations on October 24, 1945, classrooms across the west during the early stages of the Cold War sponsored United Nations Programs and learning days to raise awareness and deucation on world events.
