Scott, Beauford Judson (B. J.)

Photograoh of Beauford Judson (B.J.) Scott in his Chief of Police Uniform in front of the 1826 log Court House in Jackson County. Served on the city council in 1910 was elected and qualified as chief of police. In May of 1910 Chief Scott presented his new selection of policemen. They were Albert Tondhill, C. P. McCumber, George St. Clair and E. B. Smith. This selection was confirmed 19 July 1910 by the city council. Although stict on law enforcementchief Scott was always a genial and friendly figure about the streets and was generally like by everyone.
