Kansas City, Missouri - Circa 1881 Looking South on Main Street from 5th Street. The fire hydrant located near the bottom of the stairs is a Birdsill Holly fire hydrant. This was the first style of fire hydrant used by the City and they were installed between 1875 and 1881.
