Colonel Theo. S. Case Residence at 27th & Baltimore

From the scrapbook of James M. Anderson, ca. 1917. Large residence of Col. Theo. S. Case in Kansas City. "Colonel Theo. S. Case Home. Built in 1866, at 27th and Baltimore Avenue. He was Quartermster of the Army Post during the Civil War; Postmaster of Kansas City; Physician; and Manufacture. He published the K.C. Medical Journal in 1860, and kept accurate weather reports long before the Government established a bureau. John C. Egelhoff, a prominent early German settler who was in the shoe busiiness at 228 Main Street in 1872, has resided in Case home for the past thirty years."
